A Discussion about how understanding the uniqueness of A Cappella can make you and your group better at everything you do. There’s undeniably something special about watching an A Cappella group sing together - what makes it so special? How can we work towards embodying the things that make it special, and how can that make singing more captivating and enjoyable? We will explore and answer these questions, as well as talk about where A Cappella can go from here. #ACapDiscuss

David Fowler, 22, has taught at LAAF the last three years covering numerous subjects. in 2014 it was home recording, in 2015 it was advanced vocal percussion, and in 2016 it was intro to arranging and vocal percussion. He has been singing properly since age 12, improperly since age 5, and has been in numerous A Cappella groups ranging from collegiate to Professional beginning as early as 9 years ago. Mason Sperling is a coach of improvisation, acting, and musical performance in the Los Angeles area. He also directs and performs on YouTube with his comedy troupe, Script Not Found. Mason started singing in college, when he joined UCSB's all-male acapella group, BFOM. He specializes in arranging, group leadership, and group stage presence. Additionally, Mason no longer has this haircut. He now has shorter hair and better judgment.
